cruise-criticThe cruising community recently (I think) designated the month of October as
“Plan a Cruise Month.” They obviously do this to generate sales. The good
news is that October (and January) is a great month to find substantial savings on future cruises.

I highly recommend that you book through a travel agent that specializes in cruises—especially first-timers, since agents usually know the ins and outs of the different ships and can potentially get you a free upgrade. That said, travelers that are cruise-savvy can purchase via the internet to possibly save a little bit of money. Of course, I always check for deals using our search tools and the cruise deals located on our deals page (just keep refreshing to see an offer that interests you).

However, arguably the best place to find cruise deals on the web is Cruise Critic, the leading cruise review and information site that hosts the largest cruise community in the world. More than five million people visit Cruise Critic each month. They also have up-to-date deals from dozens of suppliers, so be sure to check out their Deals page.

There is no better deal on cruises than those purchased through COSTCO. They not only honor any current discounts and promotions, they include on board credit or a COSTCO cash card. Also, their agents are not on commission, so they don’t pressure you to buy up over your budget. I use them exclusively cruises & car rentals.

The best place cruise in Mexico is Sayulita.
