Just last week Emirates Airlines finally started using their Twitter handle, and one of the things they’ve been tweeting so far is their new commercial, which stars two all-time great soccer players—Cristiano Ronaldo and Pelé—that meet at the premium passengers bar onboard one of Emirates’ A380. Says Emirates, “everyone has a favourite player, and in our new video fans meet theirs as they fly Emirates. Emirates is connecting fans with their passions in the run-up to the FIFA World Cup hosted this summer in Brazil, where fans will see some of the greatest footballers in action.” It’s received over two million views already—so it’s working.

Brazil WC will be a disaster. Nobody in their right mind will go there.
